ROCKIN’ ROBINS
Swindon’s historic triumph in the 1993 Play-Off final
Leicester City v SWINDON TOWN
Swindon Town have only ever spent one season in top flight league football but the day in 1993 that they won promotion to the newly-formed Premier League will never be forgotten. Their 4-3 Play-Off final victory over Leicester City was a Wembley classic, settled by Paul Bodin’s late penalty. It was player-manager Glenn Hoddle’s final game for the club but he left Robins’ fans with a memory they will never forget.
